The Center for Drug and Food Control (BBPOM) Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), has named a drug or drug businesswoman classified as a list G (Gevaerlijk) with the initials RDS as a suspect. "We have named RDS as a suspect suspected of violating the Health Law in terms of illegally selling G-list drugs or without a doctor's prescription," said Head of BPOM Mataram Yosef Dwi Irwan in Mataram, Antara, Monday, November 13. He explained that the punishment regulations were related to Article 435 and/or Article 436 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health with the threat of a sentence of 12 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 5 billion. RDS admitted that they often sell their goods in the Mataram City area and Central Lombok Regency. Currently, the person concerned is being held at the NTB Police Detention Center. Yosef explained that the determination of the suspect was the result of his disclosure with the NTB Regional Police. Officers arrested RDS when picking up a package of shipments coming from Jakarta at an expedition service office in Mataram City. "This arrest activity is a follow-up to field information that states that there is a shipment of OOT (certain medicines) without a doctor's prescription from Jakarta entering Mataram," he said. From the arrest of RDS, officers found evidence of 14,500 tablets with a trihexyphenidil type of 7,000 tablets and 7,500 tablets without a brand suspected of being a Tramadol type. Uniquely, he said, the sender of the package hid drugs in a paralon. In the package, officers found all the drugs in 11 paralons. The suspect admitted that he often ordered these items from agents in Jakarta. In a week he can order twice. "The profit for one delivery is quite good, reaching Rp. 9 million," he said.

For orders belonging to RDS that were secured by officers, the value is predicted at IDR 145 million.
