Deputy Governor Of DKI Defends His Subordinates Case Helena Lim Was Vaccinated First

JAKARTA - Head of the Ombudsman Representative of Jakarta Raya, Teguh Nugroho, questioned the mechanism for verifying the data of health workers who received the first phase vaccination by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

This is related to the Instagram celebrity Helena Lim, who has received a special vaccination for health workers. Deputy Governor of DKI Ahmad Riza Patria claimed that his staff had worked according to the mechanism. However, there is a potential for misuse of giving information from Helena.

"The question is the data verification mechanism by the DKI Health Office. Is there no multiple verification mechanism?", Teguh said when contacted by VOI, Monday, February 15.

Teguh suspects that there are indications of a poor data collection system for the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government for health workers who are currently receiving priority COVID-19 vaccination.

This is because Teguh was surprised that Helena Lim and her colleagues had passed the mass vaccination target at the Kebon Jeruk Puskemas, only with a certificate as a partner in one of the pharmacies in Jakarta.

"Why is it so easy for Public of Health (Puskesmas) officers to approve to give vaccinations? Does the system prepared by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government fail to display the recipient's name by name by the address that can be vaccinated at the Puskesmas?", He said.

Therefore, the Ombudsman will virtually ask the DKI Provincial Government for information about why Helena Lim can get a special COVID-19 vaccination allocation for health workers. Also, the DKI Jakarta Health Office was asked to improve its database. Summons are scheduled on the day after tomorrow with a virtual meeting.

"We do not want this problem to repeat itself when vaccination is targeted at the next stage for public service officers. In the next stage, there are more data providers. Of course, it will be more difficult to control if there is no layered verification system", he said.

This case started when Helena Lim marched herself to get the vaccine. In fact, the vaccine is prioritized for health workers.
