JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that five people were caught in a hand arrest operation (OTT) in Sorong Regency, Southwest Papua on Sunday, November 12 evening. Of that number, among them are examiners at the Southwest Papua Province Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).
"So far, several people have been arrested by the KPK team, including three Sorong Regency officials and two BPK examiners representing Southwest Papua Province," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Monday, November 13.
Ali has not yet detailed the identity of the party involved in the activity. However, one of them is reportedly the Acting Regent of Sorong Yan Piet Mosso.
Ali said that the arrest was carried out because of the alleged receipt of bribes related to the examination conducted by the BPK. However, the investigation is still ongoing today.
