Megawati Soekarnoputri: MKMK Decision Proof Of Legal Manipulation

JAKARTA - General Chairperson of the PDI-P DPP, Megawati Soekarnoputri, assessed that the decision from the Honorary Council of the Constitutional Court (MKMK) proved that there was legal manipulation at the Constitutional Court (MK).

"The Constitutional Court's decision is proof that there has been legal manipulation due to the practice of power that ignores the truth of the right," he said in an official speech broadcast on the PDI Perjuangan Youtube channel, Sunday, November 12.

Mega made an analogy that the Constitutional Court's decision was a bright light in the midst of the darkness of democracy. This is because the Constitutional Court's decision is proof that moral strength, truth politics and common sense remain strong despite the engineering of constitutional law.

The fifth President of the Republic of Indonesia also felt concerned about the case that occurred in the Constitutional Court. He revealed that the Constitutional Court was actually built to oversee the implementation of the constitution as straight as possible. Because, the constitution is one of the institutions in state life.

"Constitution is not only obeyed as a written basic law, but the constitution must have a spirit that represents the will of determination and aspirations about how the state governance building is structured and managed as well as possible as aspired by the nation's founders," said Megawati.
