The Deputy Governor Of DKI Says There Is No Significant Flood In The Rainy Season

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Riza Patria claims that various efforts to anticipate floods have been quite successful. The proof is, there was no severe inundation even though the capital city continued to experience heavy rain.

"We are grateful that until the 13th, at least DKI can still control the prevention and handling of flood control, there will be no significant flooding, which is extraordinary. If there is rain, puddles, it will recede within hours", Riza told reporters, Saturday, 13. February.

"In addition to normalization, naturalization, then pumping, making folders and Gerebek Lumpur, dredging river, reservoirs, making sodetan, and processing, Alhamdulillah, this is helping us all reduce flooding and the speed with which decrease puddles", he explained.

In the future, said Riza, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will carry out other programs, such as increasing water capacity and making water reservoirs and reservoirs. Thus, the target for Jakarta to be flood-free will be achieved.

"As stated by the Governor, we have a target that there should be no more than 6 hours of inundation. Alhamdulillah, in a short time heavy rain, floods, but it can recede soon.
