Minister Of Social Affairs: Assistance To Fail Acute Kidneys Plus For Patient Care

JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini said assistance for people with Atypical Acute Kidney Failure (GGAPA) was added, up to a total of Rp. 19.22 billion for patients who are still under medical treatment.

Social Minister Risma in a Working Meeting with Commission VIII of the DPR said the distribution of the aid was in the realm of the Directorate General of Social Security Protection (Linjamsos) of the Ministry of Social Affairs in non-natural disasters.

He said, as many as 204 people with acute kidney failure who died would receive compensation worth IDR 50 million per person.

In addition, for 122 patients who are said to have recovered, but must receive dialysis treatment, Social Minister Risma asked for additional budget for compensation for them.

"So yesterday we asked for the budget to be increased, because during life he had to carry out treatment, so it was bigger than the one who died," said Social Minister Risma.

The Minister of Social Affairs said the budget was one of the additional types of budget reported in 2023. However, he said, the funds were not yet included in the DIPA (DISTRICT on Budget Implementation) of the Ministry of Social Affairs.

In the working meeting of Commission VIII of the DPR with the Minister of Social Affairs, chaired by Ashabul Kahfi, it was stated that the Ministry of Social Affairs budget for Fiscal Year 2023 amounted to Rp79,419,425, 895,000, and Rp62,739,331,469,297 to 7 November 2023 or 79 percent.
