Raffi Ahmad And Agnez Mo Eyeing Party For DKI Regional Election

JAKARTA - Artists Raffi Ahmad and Agnes Monica alias Agnez Mo have been looked at by the National Awakening Party (PKB) to be nominated in the regional head elections for DKI Jakarta, apart from preparing potential cadres.

"From outside the party elements, PKB is looking at artists Raffi Ahmad and Agnes Monica to be accepted as candidates for governor of DKI Jakarta 2024," said Deputy Chairman of Commission II of the DPR RI PKB faction Luqman Hakim in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Friday, February 12.

Luqman gave an example of potential PKB cadres, including Jazilul Fawaid (Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly), Faisol Reza (Chairman of Commission VI DPR RI), Cucun Ahmad Syamrizal (Chairperson of FPKB DPR RI) and Hasbiyallah Ilyas (Chairperson of the DPW PKB DKI Jakarta).

The Secretary for Social and Disaster at the PKB DPP explained that the reason PKB wanted to hook Rafi Ahmad and Agnes Monica was because both had the potential to become leaders, especially in Jakarta.

"They both, Agnes and Raffi, if they become leaders will have strong empathy for the fate and life of their people," he said.

According to him, Agnes Monica has "go-international" achievements as a musician, making the nation and state of Indonesia proud in the international world. He considered, Agnes is a woman who is persistent, hardworking and never gives up.

"Forging his career experience will be an important asset to become a leader full of empathy for the fate and life of the people," he said.

Luqman explained, Raffi Ahmad is one of the artists who achieved his popularity and success from hard work, not a shortcut to justify all means.

The Head of Politics and Government of PP GP Ansor said that Raffi was a creative and innovative young man, and even though he was at the peak of popularity, Raffi was not arrogant

"In everyday life, he remains an ordinary human being, it is proven that in crowded places he serves greetings and chats with his admirers without distance," he said.
