Gerindra: KIM Makes The Young Generation The Main Attention

JAKARTA - Deputy General Chair of the Gerindra Party DPP Habiburokhman said that the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) is making the young generation in Jakarta its main concern.

"The population in Jakarta, the younger generation, is also quite high, as Mr. Gibran said, we (KIM) are concerned about the younger generation," said Habiburokhman after the Jakarta Advanced Indonesia Coalition Party (KIM) Gathering, in Jakarta, Antara, Sunday, November 5.

If Prabowo-Gibran wins the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres), they will create various policies to increase the productivity of the younger generation.

Habiburokhman believes that Prabowo-Gibran will win the 2024 presidential election in Jakarta even though they have to compete with Anies Baswedan, who once served as Governor of Jakarta.

"There are millennial cards, for startups and so on, this has been homework for a long time in Jakarta," he said.

DPD Chairman of the DKI Jakarta Golkar Party, Ahmed Zaki Iskandar, said that Prabowo's victory in Jakarta could be seen from the results of the 2019 presidential election and the strength of the supporting political parties.

"Even though the atmosphere is different now, in 2024 there will definitely be new dynamics. It is hoped that this pair will remain solid, then consolidation of the coalition political parties will take root at the lower levels," he said.

Regarding the focus of the Prabowo-Gibran work program in Jakarta, he said he would still wait for the formulation from the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN).

The General Election Commission (KPU) has received the registration of three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates for the 2024 presidential election, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD, and Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

The Anies-Muhaimin pair was promoted and supported by the NasDem Party, the Kebangkitan Nasional Party (PKB), the Keadilan Sejahtera Party (PKS), and the Ummat Party.

The Ganjar-Mahfud pair was promoted and supported by the Demokrat Indonesia Perjuangan Party (PDIP), the Persatuan Pembangunan Party (PPP), the Persatuan Indonesia Party (Perindo), and the Hati Nurani Rakyat Party (Hanura).

Meanwhile, the Prabowo-Gibran pair was promoted and supported by the Gerakan Indonesia Raya Party (Gerindra), the Golongan Karya Party (Golkar), the Amanat Nasional Party (PAN), the Demokrat Party, the Bulan Bintang Party (PBB), the Gelombang Rakyat Indonesia Party (Gelora), the Garda Republik Indonesia (Garuda), and the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), as well as the Rakyat Adil Makmur Party (Prima) did not qualify to participate in the 2024 elections.

The General Election Commission (KPU) has determined the election campaign period which will take place from 28 November 2023 to 10 February 2024, while voting is scheduled to be held on 14 February 2024.
