JAKARTA - A resident of Pesantren Albariyah Street RT 03/03, Kampung Tengah Village, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta, was shocked by the incident of a resident who fell into a well, Wednesday, November 1, noon. It was later discovered that the victim was an adult man named Maryanto. He fell into a water well with a diameter of 50 x 50 cm with a depth of 8 meters. According to Adi's statement, one of the residents, the incident occurred when the victim was in the middle of a damaged water pump. "Then he fell into a water well 8 meters deep. The victim was trapped in a well and could not get out," Adi told reporters, Wednesday, November 1. Adi said the incident occurred at around 10.15 WIB. Then by residents, the incident was reported to the East Jakarta Damkar officers. The rescue team then went to the location and immediately evacuated the victim at around 10.25 WIB. A total of 4 rescue personnel carried out an evacuation effort against the victim.

Meanwhile, the Head of the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman, said that his party managed to evacuate the victims safely. "The victim was successfully evacuated at 10.44 WIB. When evacuated, the victim was still alive (in a conscious state and could still communicate)," he said. Furthermore, the victim was evacuated to the ground using a katrol device. "The evacuation is complete, the victim was successfully removed," he said.
