BOGOR - Bogor and its surroundings were again surrounded by disasters due to extreme weather heavy rain accompanied by strong winds on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. Due to extreme weather with a duration of one hour tens of houses damaged, the electric pole covered the Jalan Keluayah, Ciomas District, Bogor Regency was rained with high intensity accompanied by strong winds on Tuesday afternoon at around 16.00 to 17.00 WIB. As a result, dozens of damaged houses occurred in the Ciomas District, Bogor Regency. Not only that, the electric pole right in front of the Ciomas District office, Bogor, also fell and closed the highway. Head of BPBD Bogor Regency Ade Detention confirmed the incident. He said that at least 42 houses were affected and experienced damage due to the rain of the wind. Ade explained that there were not only damaged houses affected by wind rain, several trees and power poles also fell and hit several materials.

"The village that was affected was based on an initial report in the Ciomas sub-district, there were 10 houses damaged and 4 trees fell," said Ade on Tuesday night. "In Pagelaran Village, Ciomas there are 15 damaged houses, then in Ciomas Rahayu there are also 17 damaged houses," he added.

2 fallen trees also occurred in Padasuka Village and damaged 5 housing units belonging to residents. Not only that, but wind rain also damaged the Ciomas District office, causing an electric pole on the shoulder of the road to almost collapse. Ade explained that his party was still handling it and an assessment had not been carried out to determine the victims affected until early Wednesday morning.
