JAKARTA - The police confirm that the perpetrator of the stabbing of the Head of the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Agency, Gumilar Ekalaya, has planned his action. The culprit had prepared the dagger he used to stab.

"Yes, because the dagger had already been brought from the house," said South Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Azis Andiansyah, to reporters, Thursday, February 11.

Azis said the perpetrators did not specifically target Plt Parekraf as victims. All parties around him can become victims because at that time the perpetrator was emotional.

"He is not specifically, actually whoever is asked who does not fit what he wants has the potential to become his victim," said Azis.

At that time the perpetrator intended to ask the victim about the work contract. Until finally the stabbing occurred.

"The official also did not expect it, because he thought he was asking questions. In fact, after being answered normatively, it was not an answer like a dispute. The answer was 'you are under the Cultural Service, please ask that question'," he said.

"It turns out that answers like that have also caused offense to the perpetrator so that the official head of the service becomes a victim," he continued.

RH is also known to have made threats. The perpetrator threatened employees at the personnel bureau.

"(The suspect) conveyed a threat to one of the employees in the Civil Service," said Azis.

RH made the threat after receiving an answer that did not match his expectations regarding the work contract.

"(The suspect) said that today you can survive but another day you can come home and not safe. That's a threat to other people in the personnel division," said Azis.
