Complying With Bareskrim's Inspection, SYL Wears A Prison Vest With Handcuffs

JAKARTA - Former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL answered the summons for examination at the Police Criminal Investigation Unit. He is a witness in the alleged extortion case carried out by the KPK leadership.

SYL arrived at Bareskrim Polri at around 13.10 WIB. The NasDem Party cadre was seen wearing an orange vest and his hands were handcuffed.

Apart from that, SYL was also seen being escorted by several KPK employees and police officers.

Meanwhile, SYL wore a prison vest and handcuffed because he was already a suspect in an alleged corruption case handled by the Corruption Eradication Commission.

Not many statements were made. Syahrul Yasin Limpo only mentioned that he would undergo an examination.

"I want to be examined first," said Syahrul Yasin Limpo, Tuesday, October 31.

A joint team from Polda Metro Jaya and the Corruption Crime Directorate, Bareskrim Polri, will examine former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL as a witness in the alleged extortion case carried out by KPK leaders today. The examination was carried out at the Police Criminal Investigation Unit.

"The agenda (SYL inspection) is this afternoon," said Deputy Director of Corruption Crimes at Bareskrim Polri Kombes Arief Adhiharsa

Not only Syahrul Yasin Limpo, investigators will also examine two other witnesses. They are MH and IA.

MH is suspected to be the Director of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery, Muhammad Hatta. Meanwhile, IA is Semarang Police Chief Commissioner Irwan Anwar.

"There are (witnesses) MH and IA," said Arief.

In investigating the alleged extortion carried out by the KPK leadership against Syahrul Yasin Limpo, Polda Metro Jaya and the Corruption Crime Directorate, Bareskrim Polri, have examined 55 witnesses.
