JAKARTA - Two motorcycle theft perpetrators were caught on CCTV cameras while stealing a Honda Beat automatic motorbike belonging to an online motorcycle taxi driver. The victim parked his motorbike on Biduri Wine Street, Johar Baru District, Central Jakarta, Monday, October 30.

Based on CCTV camera footage, it can be seen that one of the two robbers who rode together tried to monitor the situation before launching the action.

Taking advantage of a quiet situation when residents were fast asleep, one of the perpetrators immediately grabbed the target parked in front of the victim's house.

Even though it was difficult, the perpetrator finally managed to break into the ignition of the victim's motorbike after taking action for six minutes.

"After succeeding, he rushed to escape. Had been chased by the people behind him who saw him. He was running right, chased by 3 residents, but he did not catch up," said Zulkifli, the victim who owns the motorbike, Monday, October 30.

Although he was chased, the perpetrator managed to escape while carrying the victim's stolen motorbike.

"The Beat motorbike is still new, for a motorbike. I haven't reported it to the Police, just to the leasing," he said.

The victim said that the area was prone to motorcycle theft. The motorcycle theft incident is only 2 months away.

"There are already many thieves here. The first incident was that 4 motorbikes were missing," he said.
