JAKARTA - Yossi, an employee of a Transjakarta bus passenger who was the victim of sexual harassment with video recording, complained about the attitude of the Police who did not process the perpetrators of sexual crimes. The perpetrator of the harassment was actually released by making a statement.

To the victim, the police from the Tangerang Police reasoned that they could not process the report if it was only a case of harassment in the form of video recordings.

"After the perpetrator was handed over by Transjakarta officers to the police station, I was only asked for information from the Tangerang Police. The reason was because the passengers who shouted on the bus were not also investigated. So they couldn't (made a police report letter)," Yossi told VOI, Sunday, October 29.

The victim also complained about the attitude of the police officers who did not detain the perpetrators. The victim is worried that the perpetrator will repeat his actions if he is not detained.

"The perpetrator's Transjakarta was detained (arrested), but was not detained by the Tangerang Police. Yesterday from the Transjakarta, the service was good. But what is not strong is the law," regretted the victim.

The victim said the harassment incident occurred on Friday, October 27 evening, at around 23.15 WIB. After the perpetrator was secured by Transjakarta officers, the perpetrator was handed over to the Tangerang Police.

However, according to the victim, on Saturday, October 28, afternoon, the perpetrator was released by the police by making a statement. The victim also did not make a police report letter by the Tangerang Police for reasons of lack of witnesses. In fact, the victim already has evidence in the form of video recordings of harassment from the perpetrator's cellphone and witnesses from Transjakarta officers.

"The perpetrator was released, only secured until last Saturday) afternoon. I intend to make a report, but it doesn't happen because I can't go back and forth. I can't just come to make a report once without having to be checked again," he said.

"(the police said) police cannot be processed by police documents if it is only harassment in the video," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a Transjakarta bus passenger got an unpleasant act by other male passengers on an operating bus.

A woman named Yossi became a victim of sexual harassment in the form of indecent video recording by a middle-aged man who wore a cap named Arsad. However, the victim managed to find out the perpetrator's actions and caught him.

According to the victim's statement to VOI, the incident occurred in the Merak Jakarta Toll Road area, Tangerang, towards the Islamic bus stop, Tangerang City on Friday, October 27, evening.

At that time, the victim was riding a Transjabodetabek T11 bus on the Bunderan Senayan - Poris Plawad route. The victim sat on the bus while playing on his cellphone.

But in front of the victim there was a middle-aged man wearing a cap and a backpack that was placed in front of his body. Secretly, the perpetrator secretly recorded one of the parts of the victim's body secretly with his cellphone.
