JAKARTA - Rumors circulated that the building on Jalan Kertanegara number 46 Jakarta was used as a halfway house which was often used by the Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri to meet with certain parties, such as former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL).
Former senior KPK investigator Novel Baswedan assessed that there had been a scandal if Firli's behavior was true.
"Skandal," Novel said in his X account, Friday, October 27.
In a search related to this, the KPK said that Firli, the owner of the house, was not the owner of the house who was searched for three hours by the Polda Metro Jaya on Thursday, October 26.
The KPK is asking for information from the owner of the house on Jalan Kertanegara number 46 which Firli rented.
Novel believes that from the findings of the alleged halfway house, there are still many things that law enforcement officers need to sniff out. "I still have a lot that has not been revealed," he added.
Novel also questioned where those who fully support Firli in his policies and behavior have served as KPK Chair.
"Then where are the people who have been proud of Firli?! Decay will definitely be revealed, no matter how good it is stored or hidden," said Novel.
He conveyed that lies and unlawful behavior suffered from anyone being covered up one day.
"Let's report KPK personnel officials who commit crimes or corruption, so that the KPK can be cleaned up," he said.
