The team of prosecutors for special criminal acts at the Banda Aceh Kejari has named three suspects in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of Acehnese traditional books and furniture at the Aceh Customary Council (MAA) with a ceiling of Rp. 5.6 billion.
"Investigators have obtained valid evidence as stipulated in Article 184 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Procedure Code, and in this case a suspect can be determined," said Acting Kajari Banda Aceh Mukhzan in Banda Aceh, as reported by Antara, Thursday, October 26.
The determination of the suspect is based on at least two valid pieces of evidence as stated in the Constitutional Court Decision Number 21/PUU-XII/2014).
The three suspects who have been named in the case are ES as a partner or provider of book procurement and furniture. Then, MZ as KPA and/or PPTK in MAA in 2022 and 2023, and SD as PPTK/PPTK assistant in MAA for the fiscal year.
"In the process of developing later, it also does not rule out the possibility of new suspects in the case," he said.
Previously, the Kejari investigating team had also searched the MAA office and confiscated a number of important documents related to the case being handled on Wednesday, October 26.
Then, based on the report on the progress of the investigation and the exposure of the case, the team of investigating prosecutors based on valid evidence and evidence that had been obtained, the prosecutor finally named three suspects.
"After the determination, the suspects were immediately detained at the Class II B Detention Center in Banda Aceh for the next 20 days for further investigation," said Mukhzan.
