GIS Supports Erick Thohir's Program Regarding The BUMN Plasma Program For Indonesia

JAKARTA - PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) supports the BUMN Plasma program for Indonesia initiated by the Ministry of BUMN. This activity is a follow-up to the Convalescent Plasma Donor National Movement that has been launched by the government with the aim of encouraging people who have survived COVID-19 to save patients who are still being treated.

The BUMN Plasma Program for Indonesia was held simultaneously in 15 provinces in Indonesia, witnessed online in 34 provinces, attended by BUMN Minister Erick Thohir and Chairman of the Central Indonesian Red Cross, Jusuf Kalla in Jakarta, Monday 8 February.

President Director of SIG, Hendi Prio Santoso said, SIG is participating to support the government in accelerating the prevention of the spread and impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Convalescent plasma donors are an alternative and hope for those who are infected.

"Within the SIG Group, there are four employees who meet the requirements to be able to do plasma donations. The four employees are two employees of Semen Padang, West Sumatra and two employees from Semen Tonasa, South Sulawesi," said Hendi Prio Santoso in his written statement, Wednesday February 10th.

Furthermore, Hendi Prio Santoso said that apart from being within the SIG Group, SIG also plays an active role in supporting the activities of Convalescent Plasma Donors in the Central Java Region. SIG as the coordinator of the BUMN task force in Central Java in collaboration with PMI Semarang, also selects prospective donors from BUMN in Central Java. There were 5 people who registered themselves, after screening there were 2 donors who met the requirements to be able to donate their plasma.

"We appreciate donors who have participated in the Konvaselen Plasma Donor movement. This activity is also a manifestation of the implementation of the core values of BUMN AKHLAK (Amanah, Competent, Harmonious, Loyal, Adaptive, Collaborative). Hopefully this support can save our brothers who are still struggling to recover. from COVID-19, "said Hendi Prio Santoso.
