Husband In Kepahiang Bengkulu Stabs Wife To Death Then Drinks Poison

KAPHIANG - A husband in Kepahiang Regency, Bengkulu stabbed his wife to death. Not only that, after killing his wife, the perpetrator injured himself and drank poison.

"We have secured the perpetrator of the murder of his wife, because after stabbing the perpetrator, he did not escape, he actually injured himself," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kepahiang Police, Iptu Dony Juniansyah, Sunday, October 22.

Dony explained, for the time being the motive for the murder was to be burned by a jealous fire. However, the motive for the murder is not yet known

This is because the perpetrator, known as Marison, was hospitalized for injuring himself and drinking poison after stabbing his wife to death.

"From temporary information, the perpetrator is jealous of the victim, but to be clear, because of jealousy, it is not yet known, because the perpetrator is still being treated for drinking poison," explained Dony.

He explained that the perpetrator was a farmer. After killing his wife, Marison did not run away and still chose to stay at home. Not only did he injure himself and drink poison, the perpetrator also went berserk.

"This perpetrator was successfully secured after residents around the scene reported to us, who stated that there was a murder case and the perpetrator was still at the scene. The perpetrator went berserk after stabbing his wife which resulted in the victim's death.

Kepahiang Police officers who came to the scene immediately secured the perpetrator. Furthermore, the perpetrator was taken to Kepahiang Hospital for medical treatment because he had injured himself and drank poison.
