Under Presidential Subsidiary, Prabowo Waits For Jokowi's Permission To Announce Vice Presidential Candidates In The 2024 General Election

Spokesperson for Prabowo Subianto, Dahnil Simanjuntak, acknowledged that the Minister of Defense was waiting for permission from the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo to announce the name of the vice presidential candidate who accompanied Prabowo in the 2024 Presidential Election.

"Prabowo is waiting for President Jokowi's permission to announce the vice presidential candidate in the 2024 election because Pak Prabowo is indeed Pak Jokowi's subordinate," said Dahnil Simanjuntak at the volunteer declaration event quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, October 22.

According to him, ethically, of course, permission from superiors is needed, and Prabowo Subianto submits two letters to President Jokowi.

The first letter is a permit to participate in the 2024 Presidential Election which was sent on October 18, 2024. Second, a letter of application for leave to participate in registration as a presidential candidate from October 19 to October 25, 2023.

"Alhamdulillah, the two letters have been answered by Sesneg and President Jokowi has given permission," said Dahnil.

With permission from President Jokowi, he said, Prabowo will run, either announcing potential assistants or registering with the Indonesian KPU.

"This registration will take time, so permission is needed for leave," he said.

Dahnil said that Prabowo Subianto's presidential candidate with the prospective vice presidential candidate for the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) would register with the Indonesian KPU on Tuesday, October 24.

"Prabowo and his partner will register on Tuesday no later than," he said. during the Declaration of the Prabowo National Command Post in Jakarta, Sunday.

On this day, October 22, he continued, the Gerindra Party leadership will meet to discuss the name of the vice president candidate who will accompany Prabowo Subianto.
