Getting Volunteer Support, Prabowo Is Called Not A Foreigner For Nahdlatul Ulama

JAKARTA - The candidate for president and chairman of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, received support from Jagat Prabowo volunteers in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) contestation.

In the declaration of support, Nusron Wahid, one of the volunteer figures of Jagat Prabowo, said that the figure of the General Chair of Gerindra was not a foreigner for Nahdlatul Ulama.

"We convey that he is not someone else and is not a foreigner to Nahdlatul Ulama and young Nahdlatul Ulama," said Nusron during a speech at Prabowo's residence in Kertanegara, South Jakarta, Thursday, October 19.

According to him, the man who is now the Minister of Defense (Menhan) has been pinned as an honorary member of the Ansor youth movement since 28 years ago.

The status of an honorary member was pinned when Prabowo was present at the Ansor event.

"So at that time he was present at the Ansor event and was given an honorary member and it was 28 years ago. So he is not someone else, and is not a foreigner and he is a big family," he said.

On the other hand, Nusron also assessed that Prabowo was one of the suitable figures to replace Joko Widodo to lead Indonesia.

"God willing, Allah will bless and make him Prabowo Subianto President of Indonesia for the period 2024-2029 to continue his leadership rather than Mr. President Ir Jokowi," said Nusron.
