Register Anies-Cak Imin, Surya Paloh Hopes That The KPU Will Be Neutral In The 2024 Presidential Election

JAKARTA - The General Chairperson of the Nasdem Party Surya Paloh asked the KPU to be neutral in the 2024 presidential election. Surya Paloh hopes that the KPU will stand above all the political parties participating in the 2024 General Election as well as the presidential-vice pair in 2024. This was conveyed by Surya Paloh in his remarks when registering the Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar pairs as pairs of presidential-vice candidates for the 2024 presidential election to the KPU, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Menteng, Jakarta, Thursday 19 October. "We believe this will be achieved when our brothers and sisters who are the hope of the people and this nation, namely KPU stand tall on the interests and groups and political parties," said Surya Paloh. Surya Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar officially registered with the KPU today, Thursday 19 October. The Anies-Cak Imin pair registered using the Land Rover vehicle with an open roof. Anies-Cak Imin compactly wore a white shirt and a black cap. Anies was accompanied by Ketum Nasdem Surya Paloh, President Ahmad Syaikhu as well as the elite Nasdem, PKB and PKS parties. Paloh also had faiths and hopes and prayers that the election that would take place on February 14, 2024 would run well and take place in an orderly manner followed by public participation. "We have confidence and hope that the election that we will run in the future will run correctly according to our expectations, all of the KPU," he added.

Meanwhile, the prospective presidential and other vice presidential candidates, namely Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD, will also register with the General Elections Commission (KPU) on Thursday (19/10/2023). Ganjar-Mahfud gathered first at the Proclamation Monument before heading to the KPU at around 11.00 WIB. The plan is that they will come to the KPU with volunteers and supporters, as well as the general chairmen of political parties who support them. The registration process for presidential and vice presidential candidates will take place from 19 to 25 October 2023.
