Long Drought, 2,117 Families Experience Drought in South Tangerang

TANGERANG - The long dry season has an impact on water drought in the South Tangerang (Tangsel) region. Thousands of families (KK) experience lack of clean water or drought.

The Head of Emergency and Logistics of the South Tangerang BPBD, M Faridzal Gumai, said that 39 points in South Tangerang were affected by drought.

(The affected sub-districts) Setu, Kranggan, Muncul, West Mangu Jurang, Buaran, Ciater, Babakan, Kademangan, Pakulam and Pakulonan. (A total of) 39 points were affected," said Gumay in his statement, Thursday, October 19.

Gumay explained that there were 2,117 families who needed clean water. So that the South Tangerang City Government (Pemkot) through BPBD distributed clean water.

"Residents affected by 2,117 families. The volume of water distributed is 152,809 liters," he said.

According to VOI monitoring, dozens of residents prepared buckets to get clean water that distributed South Tangerang BPBD. They are willing to queue for hours to get water for their daily needs.
