Before The Explosion Occurred, The Victim Had Hit The Object Suspected Of Being A Bomb Found In The Ground

After a number of witnesses to the explosion on Jalan Tangkuban Boat 02, RT 07, Guntur Village, Setiabudi, South Jakarta were questioned, Dirkrimum Polda Metro Jaya Hengki Haryadi gave a surprising statement to VOI at the location.

Hengki explained that before the explosion occurred, victim A (49) had hit an object suspected of being a bomb, after being removed from the ground.

The object suspected of being a bomb was found in the ground, then lifted up. According to witness testimony, he was beaten and eventually an explosion occurred," said Hengki, Wednesday night, October 18.

Hengki said that currently the police are still investigating the findings of the object. Therefore, he has not been able to conclude the object suspected of being the bomb.

Meanwhile, victim A is undergoing an autopsy to find out other findings in the body caused by the explosion.

"This object is what we are examining and will be conveyed later. Collaborating to conclude whether the type of bomb we found is this. So we can't conclude yet," he said.

"We will research together with forensic medicine whether there are pieces. Then are there other elements in the victim's body which will then be re-examined in forensic medicine," he continued.

South Jakarta Police Chief Kombes Ade Ary explained about the explosion that killed one project worker on Jalan Tangkuban Boat No. 2 RT 07, Guntur Village, Setiabudi, South Jakarta.

After examining 3 witnesses, it was discovered that the explosion occurred after the victim took a break at noon, at around 13.00 WIB.

"Facts were found based on the statements of three witnesses who were friends of the victim, who were also both project workers, at the TKP (the crime scene)," Ade told reporters, Wednesday, October 18.

"When victim A finished resting at around 13 (1 pm), the victim continued his work back at the back of the house project", explained Ade.
