JAKARTA - United States President Joe Biden said the explosion at Al-Ahli al-Arabi Gaza Hospital killed hundreds of people, not by Israeli attacks, when he arrived in the country and met Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday.

The explosion at the hospital reportedly killed hundreds of people, creating a White House diplomatic agenda to express support for its allies, easing tensions in the region as well as supporting the humanitarian efforts in Gaza to fall apart, after leaders of a number of Arab countries canceled a meeting with President Biden in Jordan.

"I am very sad and angry with the hospital explosion in Gaza yesterday, and based on what I saw, it seems that it was done by another party, not you," he said with PM Netanyahu.

"But there are a lot of people out there who aren't sure, so we have a lot to do, we have to overcome a lot," President Biden continued.

"The world is observing. Israel has values like those of the United States, and other democracies, and they also want to see what we are going to do."

Meanwhile, Israel released footage of drones showing the location of the hospital explosion, which they said showed there were no impact holes from any missiles or bombs, so they were released from responsibility.

The Israeli military later published what it said was an audio recording of a "communication between 'terrorists' talking about a mistargeted rocket".

Meanwhile, Palestinians believe the explosion was an Israeli attack, and there is no warning for civilians to leave the hospital used as a shelter for thousands of Gazans who have lost their homes as a result of Israeli bombings.

"This place creates a safe haven for women and children, those who escaped Israeli bombings," doctors at the hospital, Ibrahim Al-Naqa told Reuters.

"We don't know what the projectile's name is, but we saw the impact when the projectiles targeted the children and torn their bodies apart."

It is known, President Biden strongly supports Israel after the October 7 attack. However, he is under strong pressure to ensure Israel's commitment to ease the suffering of civilians in the Gaza Strip, where 2.3 million Palestinians are under a total siege, without access to food, fuel, water, or medical supplies.

The Israeli military announced on Wednesday that humanitarian aid would be available in the "humanitarian zone" in Al-Mawasi, south of the Gaza Strip near the Egyptian border. However, it did not explain in detail how the aid would get there.
