Secretary General of PKS Habib Aboe Bakar Al-Habsyi praised the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD for being announced as a candidate for vice president Ganjar Pranowo.

Habib Aboe said Mahfud was a good choice because he was a classy figure and had tested his performance in various positions.

"I think Mr. Mahfud is a good choice for Mas Ganjar and good for the people. Why? Because the people are given a heavy, classy choice of vice president if I say. The vice presidential candidate has already been a minister, has been a judge of the Constitutional Court, has been a member of the DPR, he is complete. Classy," said Habib Aboe as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 18.

Habib Aboe Bakar did not forget to congratulate Mahfud MD for being elected as a vice president from the presidential reading carried by PDIP.

"What is conveyed from the other party who will become the candidate pair that has just been announced by our mother, the first lady of the PDI, the first lady of Indonesia and the first lady of the Republic of Indonesia with the existing parties. Habib Aboe said Mahfud's presence would make political contestation even more fun. He believes the 2024 election contestation will take place peacefully.

Aboe Bakar said Mahfud was a figure who was a statesman and would definitely compete 'fair' in the 2024 presidential election.
