JAKARTA - Chairman of the Advisory Council of PPP Romahurmuziy revealed the characteristics of the prospective vice presidential candidate who will be a companion to Ganjar Pranowo which will be announced on Wednesday (18/10) morning.

"We believe that the figure who will accompany Mas Ganjar is a religious figure whose integrity as a public official has been stretched across decades," said the man who is familiarly called Romy as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 17.

He believes that the vice presidential candidate Ganjar is a religious figure with integrity. In addition, this figure is experienced in the fields of executive, legislative and judicial power.

"In addition, his complete experience is in all rooms of the trias politics, as well as his uncompromising track record of cleanliness, which will greatly help Mas Ganjar to create a great Indonesia in time," he said.

Secretary General of the PDI-P DPP Hasto Kristiyanto previously said that the prospective vice presidential candidate (cawapres) accompanying Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) would be announced on Wednesday (18/10) morning.

"Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri has assigned the PDIP DPP to coordinate with the TPN GP so that tomorrow Wednesday, at 10.00 WIB the vice presidential candidate will be announced who will accompany Mr. Ganjar Pranowo," said Hasto in Jakarta, Tuesday.

He said the decision was taken after the PDIP leadership reported to Megawati regarding the latest political dynamics, especially after the Constitutional Court's decision regarding the age limit for presidential and vice-presidential candidates to be 40 years old or have experience as regional heads.

Hasto said that after seeing the dynamics of national politics, it was decided that the announcement of Ganjar's companion vice presidential candidate would be announced on Wednesday.

"Earlier I reported to Mrs. Megawati accompanied by Mr. Olly Dondokambey and Mr. Prananda Prabowo, because Mba Puan (Maharani) had just returned from her foreign assignment," he said.

Regarding the initials "M" which is rumored to be the vice presidential candidate accompanying Ganjar, Hasto said that the candidate who was decided was a figure for the Indonesian people and joint progress.
