1,992 Joint Personnel Guard The Constitutional Court Building Ahead Of The Material Test Decision

Central Jakarta Metro Police together with Polda Metro Jaya strictly maintain the Constitutional Court (MK) building regarding the results of the decision on the Election Law lawsuit regarding the Material Test Article 169 letter Q of Law NO. 7 TH 2017 concerning General Elections regarding the minimum age limit for presidential and vice presidential candidates on Monday, October 16.

"A total of 1,992 joint personnel from Polda Metro Jaya, Polres Metro Central Jakarta, TNI and Regional Government of DKI Jakarta Province were deployed to secure the trial at the Constitutional Court," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro in an official statement received by VOI, Monday, October 16.

Kombes Susatyo said the Polda Metro Jaya would all go out to carry out security at the Constitutional Court. The public is also advised to maintain order and security during the verdict and after the verdict of the lawsuit trial.

"The public is requested to jointly maintain the smooth running of the event," he said.

In addition, motorists are also advised to avoid the West Medan Merdeka Street area, Central Jakarta and look for other alternative routes.

"The closure of traffic flow is situational, looking at the situation and developments that occur," he said.

Previously, the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) would respect whatever the Constitutional Court's decision on the provisions of the minimum age limit for presidential and vice presidential candidates as stipulated in Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning Elections.

PSI and its young cadres are one of the parties who submitted a judicial review application regarding the minimum age requirements for presidential and vice presidential candidates.
