JAKARTA - Residents of Batu Ceper, Tangerang City were shocked by the discovery of a newborn in a plastic bag covered in cloth. Luckily the baby was rescued and evacuated to the Tangerang City General Hospital.

Kapolsek Batu Ceper, Kompol Susida Aswita confirmed the incident. The incident occurred on Sunday morning, October 15.

"Alhamdulillah, the baby is safe," said Susida in a short message, Sunday, October 15.

Susida explained that the incident began when residents were walking to hear the sound of crying that initially thought the sound of a cat. When checked, it turned out that a newborn baby.

After knowing this, the witness informed the local residents and reported it to the Batu Ceper Police.

Furthermore, the police who received the report went directly to the scene. Then the baby was taken to the hospital for further action.

"Currently in the City Hospital, it has been handled properly and under the auspices of the Tangerang City Social Service," he said

Meanwhile, the police are investigating who threw the baby away. He claimed to have examined a number of witnesses.
