JAKARTA - Chairman of the PPP Advisory Council Muhammad Romahurmuziy (Rommy), revealed that the discussion of the vice presidential candidate (cawapres) accompanying Ganjar Pranowo has narrowed to three names.

The three names are Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD, and Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa.

"If there is no extraordinary political condition, only 2-3 names remain. Between Sandi Uno, Mahfud MD, or Khofifah," Rommy said when contacted, Monday, October 9.

The three names of these figures, said Rommy, are being studied by the general chairmen of supporting political parties to be encouraged to become Ganjar's pair in the 2024 presidential election.

"The general chairmen are currently reviewing the electoral contributions of each of these names to Ganjar," he said.

Rommy said the decision would still be made by the general chairmen at the last moment of registration for the presidential election which will take place from 19-25 October 2023.

Previously, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said the figure of the vice presidential candidate accompanying Ganjar Pranowo would not be much different from the names that have now been circulating. He said that the discussion about Ganjar's vice presidential candidate by the ketums had also narrowed.

"The names are not far from what is circulating, but empirically in 2019 suddenly new names can also appear," said Hasto at the PDIP DPP office, Tuesday, October 3.

"But from what was dialogued by Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri along with the general chairmen, together with Mr. President Jokowi, who was very intense, it has narrowed," he continued.
