The National Police has prepared 103 special electric vehicles to escort VVIP delegation guests who will attend the Archipelagic and Island States High Level Conference (KTT AIS) Forum 2023 in Nusa Dua, Bali.

The Head of the Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) of the National Police, Inspector General Firman Shantyabudi, detailed that the electric vehicles consisted of 45 cars and 58 motorbikes.

The vehicle is controlled by Paspampres who is in charge of escorting very very very imported guests (VVIP).

"Two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles deployed for VVIP which are BKO-driven to Paspampres are entirely using battery power. Others, we are still combinatorial because not all official cars (use batteries)," said Firman, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, October 7

This number, plus 11 fossil fuel vehicles, is deemed sufficient to be used as an operational vehicle to escort VVIP guests, both I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport to go to lodging and from lodging to meeting places.

To expedite the journey of the delegates, the Korlantas Polri has formed several task forces such as the escort task force, the route escort task force, and the parking task force. The escort task force is tasked with escorting VIP guests.

"Second, the route task force. For this task force, we hold it from the airport to the venue. This venue can be interpreted as accommodation, meeting place, for the dinner it will be divided into 16 traffic bits, each commanded by an officer in charge of several non-commissioned officers," he said.

To ensure the smooth running of the duties of the two task forces, traffic patrol troops and security guards will continue to be on standby to ensure that the routes that the delegation will pass are safe and there will be no disturbances.

Other assistance, he continued, also came from the Ministry of Transportation and Satpol PP and Pecalang.

Another task force that is no less important, according to Inspector General Pol. Firman is a parking task force tasked with conducting parking management for VVIP activities.

"We are helping friends from POM assigned to help the parking task force. Not only parking management, but also security as long as the vehicle is not used by the delegation," he said.

Kakorlantas apologized to the Balinese people and tourists who were on vacation if later there was a diversion and traffic engineering. This is solely for the convenience of the delegates.

"Of course there are streets where when the delegation passes through the route, yes, it must stop first. We are sure that Balinese people often host and we want to repeat of course the atmosphere is comfortable and the results of this meeting can be achieved together," he said.
