Ustaz Maaher Buried In Yusuf Mansyur's Islamic Boarding School

JAKARTA - Ustaz Maaher At Thuwailibi alias Soni Ernata died at around 19.00 WIB yesterday, at the Police Criminal Investigation Unit Detention Center.

Maaher's attorney, Juju Purwantoro, said that today Maaher plans to be buried at the Darul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School owned by Ustadz Yusuf Mansyur.

"Ustaz Maaher will be buried today at 10.00 WIB at the Ustaz Yusuf Mansyur pesantres, Darul Qur'an, Tangerang area," Juju told VOI, Tuesday, February 9.

Juju said, Maaher died because of the illness he suffered. He said that Maaher had previously been treated at the National Police hospital, Kramatjati, East Jakarta for five days.

"About two weeks ago he had just returned from the Kramatjati Police Hospital for about 5 days," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, revealed that Maaher had complained of illness before the second handover process, namely the suspect and evidence to the Prosecutor's Office.

"Before stage 2, the people complained of pain. Then, prison officials including a team of doctors took him to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital. After being treated and declared cured, the person concerned was brought back to the Bareskrim Detention Center, ”he said.

After stage two in the case of alleged hate speech against Habib Lutfi bin Yahya, Ustaz Maaher again complained of pain.

"Prison officers and a team of doctors suggested that they be taken to the National Police Hospital, but the person concerned did not want to die until he finally died. Regarding the pain, what team of doctors knows better, "concluded Argo.
