Love Rejected, Meatball Traders In Bali Rape Woman From Bogor When Playing Game Sit Up

The meatball trader, Ahmad Komai alias Edi Putra (31) from Ngawi Regency, East Java, was arrested by the Badung Police, Bali, for committing rape.

The perpetrators had the heart to rape a co-worker or business partner, a woman with the initials RH (30) from Bogor, West Java.

"The motive was because the victim refused to love him," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Badung Police, AKP Aris Setiyanto, at the Badung Police Headquarters, Bali, Thursday, October 5.

The rape took place at a meatball stall on August 25, 2023 on Jalan Mudinh Raya, Kerobokan Kaja, North Kuta. The victim is a financier of the perpetrator's meatball business.

At first, the perpetrator picked up the victim to go together to the meatball shop. At that time, the perpetrator tricked the victim by inviting him to play games with mandatory sit-up rules when he lost.

There, the perpetrator raped the victim. The victim fought back but the perpetrator became even more violent.

"The more victims fight the increasingly violent perpetrators here and the victim cannot fight at all, even the victim has psychological trauma," he added.

After committing the depraved act, the perpetrator fled to Ngawi, East Java. Meanwhile, the victim reported it to the Badung Police, Bali. The perpetrator on the run continued to terrorize the victim by using WhatsApp to the victim's cellphone by threatening the victim to comply with all the perpetrators' requests.

"The terror is so that the victim follows what the perpetrator said and is threatened there. So after he fled, he hoped that the perpetrator would not report it. The perpetrator also had time to ask the victim for money," he said.

From the investigation, the police arrested the perpetrator in Ngawi on September 27.

"Actually, the perpetrator did like the victim. However, because it might be too eager to immediately take the action. And after doing that, he immediately fled to Java, disappeared and even still contacted and terrorized the victim," he said.

The perpetrator was charged with a criminal act of sexual violence as referred to in Article 6 letter a of Law No. 12 of 2022 or Article 286 of the Criminal Code with a maximum imprisonment of 4 years.
