Free From Prison For Domestic Violence Case, Australian Caucasians Deported From Bali

BADUNG - The Class I Immigration Office Special for TPI Ngurah Rai, Bali, deported an Australian man with the initials BJC (54).

This foreigner was deported through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali using Batik Air airline to Denpasar-Sydney on Wednesday (4/10).

Head of the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, Suhendra, said the foreigner was released from the Class IIA Kerobokan Correctional Institution (Lapas) for cases of domestic violence (KDRT). This foreigner is in prison for 3 months.

"The person concerned has finished serving a prison sentence due to cases of domestic violence, and was immediately handed over from the Class IIA Kerobokan Prison to the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office for the deportation process," he said.

This Australian foreigner entered Indonesia on January 1, 2020 via Soekarno-Hatta Airport. This foreigner has a Permanent Stay Permit Card (KITAP).

"For violations committed by the person concerned, we apply Article 75 Paragraph (1) of Law Number 6 Year 2011 concerning Immigration. On that basis, we apply immigration administrative measures in the form of deportation and we will include the names concerned in the deterrence list," said Suhendra.
