YOGYAKARTA The leak of flying taxi rates at IKN is one of the interesting things to know. Flying car taxis are said to be one of the modes of transportation in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) and it is reported that President Jokowi has tried the conveyance with MPR Bambang Soesatyo.

President Jokowi tried to EHang 216 while attending the KAI Expo 2023 Hub SPACE X event. On that occasion, the President saw firsthand the flying vehicle as well as trying to sit in the aircraft cabin without a crew.

As is known, the EHang 216 Flying Taxi is planned to be a futuristic mode of transportation at IKN. This was also revealed by the Chairman of the MPR RI Bambang Soesatyo or Bamsoet. He also expressed his support for the existence of this futuristic traction.

"While traveling to Bandung with President Jokowi on the Election EHang Fast Train, I convey my support for IKN's plan to build a modern and electric and pollution-free transportation ecosystem as a mode of transportation for the future. This is in line with the president's desire for futuristic transportation for IKN," said Bamsoet, quoted from Antara, Wednesday.

Regarding flying taxi rates at IKN Nusantara, Deputy for Green Transformation and Digital Authority IKN Mohammed Ali Berawi gave an illustration. He said that flying taxi rates are similar to premium taxi rates in Jakarta.

"If I go from home in South Jakarta to Soetta, I from Soetta the increase in the Alphard of Silver Bird will be IDR 600,000. But if I go up (flying tax), the estimated count is in an up to 100 km distance, maybe from Soetta to Tangerang or Bekasi, even further away, it will be affected by around USD 50, how much is the rupiah? IDR 750,000 (exchange rate) IDR 15,000," he said while at the Senayan Parliament Complex, quoted Wednesday, October 4.

The IKN flying taxi is planned to use EHang 216. The vehicle is produced by a Chinese-based company called Ehang. The company, which was founded in December 2014, is a company that produces autonomous air vehicle technology.

The EHang 216 itself is a multikopter eVTOL production model aircraft created to support air mobility. The aircraft is capable of traveling 100 km/h (62 mph) at a maximum speed of 130 km/hour (81 mph) with an air altitude of up to 3,000 meters (9,843 feet).

The reach of the EHang 216 aircraft can reach 35 km (22 miles). The Chinese-produced aircraft is powered by batteries with 16 electric motors. Ehang took 120 minutes to recharge.

Shaped like a helicopter, EHang has 16 propellers that have a maximum aircraft capacity of 220 kg (485 lb). EHang 216 has a wing door, while the fuselage is made from carbon fiber composites for high power and low weight ratios.

This aircraft is widely used in several developed countries such as Japan, Korea, the United States, Dubai, Qatar, Canada, including China.
