Bullying Case Occurs Again, Vocational High School Students In Gresik Refuse To Go To School Because Of Being Beaten By Class Friends

GRESIK - The world of education in Gresik Regency, East Java, has been tarnished again. This time it happened, BAP, 16, a grade 1 vocational school student who was the victim of the beating of her classmate.

"Since that incident, my son doesn't want to go to school for fear of being beaten by his friends," said Aris Pujianto, 45, the father of the victim of BAP, confirmed, Tuesday, October 3.

As for the chronology, it started when the victim of BAP was joking with his classmate on September 2, 2023. The victim, who was playing for fun, hid K's shoes, a female student in the same class as the victim.

However, K did not accept it, and finally reported the incident to his girlfriend and friends. The victim of BAP was beaten by friends of K.

"But the shoes have been returned by my son when he was about to go home from school. From there, the trigger for the violence was the result of a beating by his classmate," he said.

As a result of the incident, Aris stated that his son refused to go to school, because he was traumatized by the fear of being beaten by his friends. In fact, the victim of BAP asked him to change schools.

"My son is traumatized, that's why he asked to change schools. Because my son still remembers the words of his friend who threatened to kill him if he met again," he said.

Aris admitted that he had asked for the responsibility of the school, but was ignored. In fact, he said, the school actually blamed his son.

"That's why I reported the incident to the Gresik Police. Because the school did not admit that my child was beaten, it seemed that it blamed my child," he said.
