JAKARTA - The Gerindra Party does not have a problem with PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri rejecting the discourse of the Prabowo Subianto and Ganjar Pranowo duet. The two figures are considered better together to run as presidential candidates (candidates). Secretary General of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani said Gerindra was indeed open to all possibilities in the 2024 presidential election. However, regarding the figure of the presidential candidate, Muzani emphasized that his party had unanimously supported its General Chair, Prabowo Subianto. "As a possibility, it could be because both of them have announced who the vice presidential candidate is. Second, they have not registered at the KPU. But technically how the political problem needs to be considered," said Muzani at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, October 3. "Mrs. Mega has announced Ganjar as a presidential candidate, the Gerindra party as a national forum has announced Prabowo as a presidential candidate," he continued. Muzani said, the two candidates already had supporting parties in their respective coalitions so that there were complications to be considered. Because if not, the problem could be an internal problem in the coalition. "Therefore, I speak many times technically if the two of them have not spoken yet, there has been no political change," he said.

Therefore, according to Muzani, Prabowo and Ganjar should both become presidential candidates in the upcoming presidential election. Moreover, both of them have also agreed to move forward together for the sake of Indonesia's development.
