JAKARTA - Chairman of the DPP Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep emphasized that he would seize the assets of his cadres who were proven to have committed a criminal act of corruption.
In the Consolidation of the PSI Bali Election Winning Body (Bappilu), in Badung, Saturday, September 30, he said that his party had tried to apply for the Asset Confiscation Bill (RUU) for corruptors.
"If it (the Asset Confiscation Bill) cannot be agreed upon later in the DPR RI, we will do it internally first. We will steal the assets, so later we will carry out an integrity pact for all PSI friends," he said, quoted from Antara.
Regarding PSI cadres in Bali, especially the three council members at the provincial and city levels, Kaesang expressed his gratitude because until now none of them have been caught in a corruption case.
"Thank you PSI legislatives in the Provinces of Bali and Denpasar City for not being corrupt. It really has to be done. If you do that and have not been removed by the KPK, don't'step' first," he said, followed by laughter and applause from consolidation participants.
