JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned five people to be investigated in the licensing bribery case in Cimahi City, including Acting President Director of Cibabat Hospital, Reri Marliah.

He will be examined as a witness for the suspect Ajay Muhammad Priyatna (AJM) who is the Mayor of Cimahi.

"Examined as a witness for the suspect AJM in the licensing bribery case in Cimahi City for the 2018-2020 fiscal year", said Acting KPK spokesman for prosecution Ali Fikri, Monday, February 8.

Apart from examining Reri, there were a number of other witnesses who were summoned by KPK investigators. They are employees of CV Indra Nugraha, Rudi Setiawan; PT. Trisakti Manunggal Perkasa Internasional employee, Muhammad Ridwan; as well as two private employees, namely Tetep Hidayat and Anggara Narendra Putra.

Just like Reri, the four of them will be examined as witnesses for the suspect Ajay Muhammad who was the recipient of the bribe in this case.

Previously reported, the KPK caught the hands of the Mayor of Cimahi, Ajay Muhammad Priatna, and Commissioner of the Cimahi Bunda Kasih General Hospital, Hutama Yonathan in November 2020.

The two of them became suspects in the alleged bribery case related to the construction permit of the Kasih Bunda Hospital funds for the 2018-2020 year.

Ajay Priatna is alleged to have received bribes amounting to IDR 1.661 billion in five stages out of a total agreement of IDR 3.2 billion. The money is suspected to be related to the licensing process for the addition of the Kasih Bunda Hospital building.

To investigate this case, the KPK investigating team has searched four locations, namely the Office and Home of the Mayor of Cimahi, Kasih Bunda Hospital, and PT. Trisakti Megah's Office.

From this search, the team of investigators confiscated a number of documents such as financial records that were suspected of being related to the bribe received by Ajay, as well as documents for applying for permission from the Kasih Bunda Hospital.
