Chronology Of Moge Accident In BSD Tangerang, Witness: Ojol Cuts Impromptu Roads

TANGERANG - A 1,500 cc Ninja Kawasaki motorbike caught fire after being involved in an accident on Jalan BSD Boulevard Utara, Lengkong Karya, North Serpong, South Tangerang on Thursday, September 21 afternoon. According to eyewitnesses, Amruddin (30 years), the accident involved an online motorcycle taxi driver. Based on his testimony, Amruddin told the chronology at the scene.

"So the big motorbike was not too fast. But suddenly an online motorcycle taxi bike cut the road without using a light so the collision was inevitable," he said when met by reporters, Friday, September 22, 2023 in Tangerang. "And the motorcycle tire of the online motorcycle taxi driver was the first to hit Kawasaki's motorbike," he added.

He also said that the Kawasaki driver had slammed his body so that the online motorcycle taxi driver did not experience a fatal accident.

"What I saw was that the Kawasaki driver actually slammed his body to avoid a fatal collision for the motorcycle taxi driver who was dragged by his own vehicle but still had time to stand before falling unconscious on the sidewalk," he said.

Sementara Kasubsi Penmas Polres Tangerang Selatan, Ipda Bayu mengatakan, kecelakaan itu bermula ketika motor sport yang dikendarai pria berinisial RM (30) melintas dari arah BSD Golf. Setibanya di dekat Lampu merah BSD Plaza, kendaraan RM terlibat kecelakaan dengan motor Honda Beat, yang dikendarai pria FR (36).

"As a result of the incident, the motorbike driven by RM caught fire, while RM was injured," said Bayu in his statement. Meanwhile, FR was also injured so he was rushed to Medika Hospital, BSD to undergo treatment. The Honda Beat motorbike driven by FR suffered minor damage to the front wheels. The accident case is still under investigation by the South Tangerang Police Traffic Unit.
