"This means that the majority of job opportunities in NTB are informal workers, vulnerable workers, with a percentage of 75.36 percent, namely 2.05 million people and only 600 thousand people who work in the formal sector," he said.

According to him, in general, job seekers, especially the new workforce, mostly want to become civil servants or employees in companies. They are not really thinking about opening up business opportunities or independent job opportunities.

"In fact, to become a great person, you don't have to be a civil servant, so the independent workforce (TKM) is even better. To achieve success, a process is needed. Everything that is instant will certainly not last long, because in maintaining your business or career, expertise is needed. Without expertise will quickly collapse the business or position achieved," he said.

Therefore, through TKM, it is hoped that it will become one of the government's strategies in efforts to eradicate poverty and unemployment by increasing community productivity, especially the lower middle class.

Although there are still few people who think of becoming entrepreneurs, with economic activity after the pandemic which is getting better every year, it has a positive influence on increasing the number of TKM in NTB.

Aryadi explained that in building your own business, you must meet several requirements, including competent expertise, serious intentions, capital and marketing networks. The capital here can be in the form of financial capital and technology capital. The business developed must be in accordance with market needs in the future and in accordance with the expertise it has.

"Do not build a business that is not in accordance with your expertise because it will produce products that are not of quality. Do not build businesses that do not meet market needs because it will be difficult to market," he said.

For this reason, his party continues to encourage an increase in the number of TKM. To increase the number of TKM, the government through job training institutions such as BLK/LLK is here to provide skills training needed by the industrial world so that it can be directly absorbed by the industrial world or able to open its own industrial business.

According to him, the NTB Provincial Government has made a policy to maximize cooperation and collaboration with DUDI and all parties to prepare workers to be absorbed into the industrial world by launching the Pepadu Plus innovation program since 2021.

Through Pepadu plus, the training approach is changed according to the needs of the industrial world according to Job Future's Analysis. Participants are not only given training according to industry demand, but also directly practice in the industrial world, so that when they finish training they can be absorbed directly in the industrial world. And if not absorbed, business management guidance and equipment assistance will be provided so that they can become entrepreneurs.

"If you are only given capital without skills training and business management, it is very likely that the business will not return on investment. Meanwhile, if you are only given training without being integrated with the needs of the labor market, it will increase more unemployment. Therefore, by providing training and assistance, business equipment is considered more useful than just training or only providing business capital," he said.
