JAKARTA - The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) said that the pair of presidential and vice presidential candidates from the Change Coalition, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) is most ready to register with the General Election Commission (KPU). So that PKS has no problem if the schedule for registering for presidential and vice-presidential candidates is advanced on October 19-25. "InsyaAllah, it is best prepared to register Anies-Cak Imin pairs with the KPU," said Spokesperson for the PKS DPP, Pipin Sopian, Friday, September 22. Pinin emphasized that all Indonesian citizens have the same right to vote and be elected as president according to the constitution. He also ensured that the candidate pairs promoted by PKS, NasDem, and PKB had fulfilled the provisions of the legislation to participate in the 2024 presidential election contestation. "All Indonesian citizens can run for president if they meet the requirements in the legislation, in particular Election Law Number 7 of 2017. Then there is a provision of political parties or coalitions of political parties in Senayan with a minimum of 20 percent seat acquisition or a minimum number of valid votes to nominate pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates," said Pipin. Previously, the presidential candidate for Amendment Coalition Anies Baswedan admitted that he was ready to register as the first presidential candidate to register with the KPU.

"Hopefully, when (registration) is opened, we will register," said Anies, Tuesday, September 19. The former governor of DKI Jakarta admitted that he was ready to register whenever the registration was opened. It is known that the KPU, DPR and the government have agreed to speed up the registration time for the presidential candidate from October 19-25. "God willing, it is ready," he said.
