JAKARTA - German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will visit Indonesia. Preparations for the visit are being prepared by both parties.
This was conveyed by Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi after meeting with the German delegation on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, Tuesday, September 19.
Retno has not been able to confirm when the visit will take place because both parties are still preparing for the visit.
However, Retno said preparations for the meeting of the two leaders had already begun, including plans to hold a meeting of Indonesian and German foreign ministers in full format in Germany in November 2023.
"We will still discuss the timing, but we have started preparing for the visit ourselves," said Retno in an official transcript of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jakarta quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 20.

Jokowi and Scholz also discussed the implementation of the funding for the Fair Energy Transition Cooperation (JETP), which has not been realized since its launch at the end of last year.
