Masses Of The Bela Rempang Demonstration Begin To Spread In The Monas Horse Statue Area

JAKARTA - Some of the masses of the Bela Rempang action began to disperse from the location of the demonstration in the Monas horse statue area, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, September 20, evening.

"Come on, East Jakarta friends, let's turn right, make sure no one is left behind. Bismillah, we will go back to headquarters," shouted one of the orators from the command car.

The mass group withdrew towards Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan to return to its place of origin.

Hundreds of people who had disbanded were running regularly. While some of the other mass groups still survive in the Monas horse statue area.

After part of the mass action disbanded, a number of PPSU officers from Gambir District were deployed to clean up the garbage disbursement left by the demonstrators.

"It's started cleaning the road, sir, some of the demonstrators have disbanded. Most of the garbage is used food residue," said Rudi, one of the PPSU officers.

Meanwhile, traffic access around the area gradually returned to normal. Traffic police officers are still seen regulating the smooth flow of traffic in the Indosat roundabout area.

Previously, it was reported that hundreds of joint masses from a number of mass organizations and laborers in the Bela Rempang action were still surviving in the Monas horse statue area, Gambir District, Central Jakarta on Wednesday, September 20, afternoon. Hundreds of people were still standing until 18.00 WIB.

Although the number of mass demonstrations was not as busy as during the day, ahead of Wednesday night, several members of the demonstration participants began burning used tires in front of the guardrail of Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, access to the State Palace.

"The black smoke from the burning of the tires. I don't know who burned it," said one of the participants in the Monas horse statue area, Central Jakarta.

Even though there was a provocative action with the burning of tires, the participants of the other Bela Rempang action were still regular and not provoked. (Rizky Sulistio)
