Anticipating Mass Chaos In The Bela Rempang Demonstration, The Police Deploy 1,000 Personnel And Close The Road

JAKARTA - A number of people who are members of various community organizations (ormas) defend Rempang held a demonstration in the horse statue area of Monas, Gambir District, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, September 20.

Central Jakarta Metro Police will deploy 1,000 personnel to secure the mass action. Thousands of personnel will be deployed to guard the security of the action.

"We have prepared 10 SSKs of approximately 1,000 personnel," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin when contacted, Wednesday, September 20.

Drivers are also advised to look for other alternative routes so that there is no accumulation of vehicles around the horse statue area. The police plan to divert the flow on Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat.

The diversion of the route in question, namely from the south, was diverted to Medan Merdeka Selatan and Budi Kemulyaan. Then, from Jalan Merdeka Utara it was straightened to Jalan Majapahit. Meanwhile, from the north it was diverted to Jalan Tomang and Juanda.

"The activities of the people of the capital city can still run even though there are several points that must be diverted. Road closures are being prepared," he said.
