Vehicle Testing Retribution Fines In Singkawang, West Kalimantan Deleted For A Month

Head of the Singkawang Transportation Service (Dishub) Petrus Yudha Sasmita said his party removed the retribution fine for periodic testing of motorized vehicles for approximately one month.

"The abolition of this fine is valid from September 17 to October 17, 2023. We are carrying out this program in the context of a series of activities to commemorate the 53rd National Transportation Day in 2023 and the Anniversary of the Singkawang City Government," said Petrus in Singkawang, West Kalimantan (West Kalimantan), Tuesday 19 September, confiscated by Antara.

With the activity of removing the retribution fine, it is hoped that the people who own motorized vehicles are required to carry out periodic testing of their vehicles at the Motor Vehicle Testing Unit of the Singkawang City Transportation Service.

"This is also in an effort to increase Regional Original Revenue (PAD) from the motor vehicle testing levy," he said.

As for the location where the fine was removed, he said at the UPT Motor Vehicle Testing at the Singkawang City Transportation Service, Jl Kridasana number 7, Singkawang.

In this regard, his party will socialize it through social media and banners posted at the UPT PKB terminal and other places so that people can find out.

In addition, he said, his party will conduct an inspection/test of motor vehicle exhaust emissions (BBM diesel and premium).

For the test of motor vehicle emissions, his party will schedule together with the Singkawang City Environment Agency to adjust to their programs and activities.
