JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Environmental Agency has again imposed a government coercion sanction on companies caught defaming Jakarta. The sanction is imposed on a palm oil processing plant located in North Jakarta.
Head of the DKI Jakarta Environmental Agency, Asep Kuswanto, said that the sanctions against PT AAJ were imposed because the palm oil processing plant was not obedient in meeting the quality standards of the source not moving on its pipeline.
In imposing this sanction, the DKI Provincial Government also ordered PT AAJ to repair its pipeline in order to meet the quality standards of immovable sources.
"PT AAJ in its activities has committed violations that do not meet the Quality Baku for optimity parameters on testing the quality of immovable source emission (commerce) fueled by coal," Asep said in his statement, Tuesday, September 19.
In July, PT AAJ reported that it was testing the bailer emissions independently by the private sector and the results met Baku Mutu for all parameters. However, when it was re-examined by the DKI Provincial Government, the results were different.
"We have re-examined the results of the testing carried out by the company legally sampling. If it is still not in accordance with the quality standard, we will increase the sanctions," he said.
