54,320 Bima Residents Receive Rice Social Assistance From Central Government

A total of 591.84 tons of government rice reserves (CBP) began to be distributed to 54,320 beneficiaries in a number of sub-districts of Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province (NTB). "The distribution of food reserve rice from the government is intended to deal with food insecurity, poverty, stunting and malnutrition, emergency conditions, protect producers and consumers, and control the impact of inflation," said Bima Indah Regent Dhamayanti Putri, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, September 18.

Indah said that the administration of government reserve rice distribution to provide food assistance was carried out by the National Food Agency through an assignment to Perum Bulog. "In order for the distribution to run optimally, the Head of the National Food Agency of the Republic of Indonesia issued a decree on technical instructions for the distribution of the second phase of food reserves in 2023," she said.
