Spokesperson Anies Baswedan Prays For Cak Imin Announced By The PKS Syuro Council To Be A Vice Presidential Candidate

Spokesperson for Anies Baswedan, Sudirman Said, hopes that the PKS Syuro Council will announce support for PKB General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin as the 2024 vice presidential candidate from the Change Coalition.

"We all pray that hopefully the decision of the syuro assembly will really strengthen the coalition of changes," said Sudirman Said at the PKS DPP office, Friday, September 15.

Sudirman emphasized that PKS' support for Anies' candidacy was very important. Moreover, PKS already existed in the Change Coalition.

"Because of that, we really really hope for his support for these two couples," he continued.

Even so, Sudirman believes PKS will approve Cak Imin as an Anies vice presidential candidate. This was seen when PKS sang the national anthem NU 'Ya Lal Wathan' on Cak Imin's visit to the PKS office a few days ago.

"We pray for the best, we must not precede fate, but I am very impressed with diplomacy, Ya Lal Wathon," he said.

According to Sudirman, although PKS President Ahmad Syaikhu verbally did not mention Muhaimin Iskandar's name as a vice presidential candidate, but non-verbally, movements, and in body language, Cak Imin had welcomed Cak Imin as part of the family.

"Hopefully this signal will have an impact on the atmosphere of the shuro assembly and the syuro assembly making the best decision," he added.
