MATARAM - The West Nusa Tenggara Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Office ensures that the repair of the BIL-Mandalika Bypass Road infrastructure damage that has decreased has been completed. "From the information from friends from the National Road Office, the road to the circuit, which had decreased, has been completely repaired," said Head of the NTB PUPR Service, Muhammad Rum when confirmed at the NTB Governor's Office in Mataram, Antara, Thursday, September 14. With the completion of the repair of the BIL-Mandalika Bypass Road, which experienced land subsidence at kilometer 11, the function was that there were no problems for vehicles to pass. Meanwhile, when asked about the progress of repairing Jalan Raya Sekotong-Lembar, Rum said that the road is currently still ongoing. "Currently, the repair process is still ongoing, even if it is stopped because there is passing through the distribution of MotoGP logistics from Gili Mas Port to the Mandalika Circuit," he said. However, the repair of Jalan Raya Sekotong-Lembar is expected to be completed in 2023. Because the construction of this road uses a one-year budget fund pattern, not with a multi-year pattern, so it must be completed in December 2023. Rum explained that in general road repairs in NTB are currently very helpful after the issuance of Presidential Instruction (Inspres) number 3 of 2023 concerning the Acceleration of Improvement of Regional Road Connectivity. "The existence of an Inpres for the Acceleration of Connectivity Improvement of Regional Roads really helps road stability in NTB," explained Rum. Therefore, through this Presidential Instruction, it is hoped that road infrastructure in NTB can reach 80 percent in 2023.

"That is our hope, that road safety in NTB can be up to 80 percent," he said.
