Case Of Teacher Of Obscene 14 Elementary School Students In Bogor, Bima Arya Immediately Processes Dismissal Of Perpetrators From P3K Status

BOGOR - Bogor City Government, West Java, processed the dismissal of BBS, a teacher who recently had the status of a state civil servant at SDN Pangadilan 2, for committing a criminal act of obscenity against 14 of his students. "The person concerned has been secured and because the status concerned is a first aid (Government Employee with a Work Agreement), we will carry out the process of dismissal while the person concerned is being processed legally," said Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto while visiting SDN Pangadilan 2 in Central Bogor District, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, September 13. Bima explained that he immediately coordinated with the police after receiving a report on the sexual harassment case at SDN Pangadilan 2 last Tuesday. The second step, Bima asked the Bogor City Education Office to appoint a replacement for BBS as a classroom guardian to meet the needs of teaching staff in teaching and learning activities (KBM) at SDN Pangadilan 2. Third, he has asked the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) of Bogor City and the Education Office to provide assistance, not only to the victims, which so far it is known that there are 14 people, but also counseling to all students at the school. Bima said that he had coordinated with KPAI that children needed to be given the right education so that they could anticipate similar incidents from happening again at the school. Education also needs to be conveyed to teachers about etiquette and behavior so that children are not afraid to report things that are not desirable. "We are concerned that this case was not detected from the start because of the case from December. Yes, there needs to be counseling education so that everyone can understand, children dare to report, dare to tell everyone and must be educated that this is an incident that is really not appropriate," explained Bima. Previously, the ranks of the Bogot City Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested an ASN with the initials BBS who was suspected of molesting eight elementary school students (the latest reports there were 14 victims) in the span of almost the past year. Head of the Bogor City Police Satreskrim Kompol Rizka Fadhila explained that the arrest of BBS was based on four reports from parents of elementary school students at the BBS teaching place. The parents previously reported it to the school. Kompol Rizka said that the arrest of BBS did not take long, because after a few days from reporting, BBS was immediately secured by officers while traveling in the Bogor City area on Monday (11/9) at 21.00 WIB. BBS (30 years old), who already has a wife and one child, was arrested by the police on Monday (11/9) night at around 21.00 WIB.

The perpetrator was charged with Article 76E of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 23 of 2022 concerning Child Protection junto Article 82 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 17 of 2016 concerning Stipulation of Government Regulation in Lieu of Law Number 1 of 2016 concerning the Second Amendment to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 23 of 2022 concerning Child Protection into a Criminal Law with a minimum imprisonment of five years and a maximum of 15 years and a maximum fine of IDR 5 billion.
